Interlude - Stellar Photography

And now for something different.

I tried my hand again at astrophotography, with just my Canon EOS 5D Mk III, a tripod and remote trigger.

A bit more succesful than last time I think. You can see Orion’s belt in the top right quadrant of the image.

Also attempted to get some shots of the Moon, but I think I missed a trick - either with the photos themselves, or in post-processing. Despite trying about 15-20 different shutter speeds (ranging from >1s to 1/100 iirc), the Moon still completely washed out the image. I can get some amusing photos of what looks like an Alien landscape though if I muck around in Lightroom.
