For Day 2, we created individual collages to represent the space/structure that the character we developed on Day 1, would inhabit. I didn’t find it quite as easy as it sounds. 

I my case, rather than a specific character, I had distilled a series of skills, traits & related disciplines which I felt an architect would either have or draw from. Our collage material were ScrewFix & Argos catalogues (along with anything we brought ourselves). How could I represent “Feminism” for instance, with something out of a ScrewFix catalogue? Or would it fall to the representation/form of the space created from the collage. That was one of about ½ the ‘traits’ with which I found difficulty completing.

The resultant collage did not seem to represent any obvious structure - although to be honest, by that stage I was running out of time mainly trying to figure out how to coalesce all the cuttings into a useful form. Didn’t quite work.

Tomorrow is an induction & enrolment day - no formal work, just intros, tours & paperwork.
